Which Gardening Tools Are the Most Important?
It is certainly possible to put together a lovely garden without needing a lot of expensive equipment but having the correct gardening tools can help you save a lot of time. Obviously you can use your hands for digging holes but why bother when you can use your garden trowel to do it for you. The fact is that the right tools are essential no matter what task you want to accomplish.
If you are new to gardening, deciding which tools to use can be hard. These are just a few of the tools that every gardener should have if he or she wants to grow a marvelous garden. By the way, a great way to load up your diet with lots of tasty veggies is making super healthy green smoothies with Blendtec blenders. Highly recommended, and an excellent way to strengthen your immune system.
If you want a giant garden you need to be ready to do some soil tilling. This refers to the act of loosening up the dirt in your garden and increasing the oxygen flow in and around it. You might think about hiring someone to help you do this. You could also rent a roto tiller. For gardeners who will be working with huge garden plots often or on a regular basis, purchasing a tiller of their own is a good idea. Just make sure that you have a thorough working knowledge of how to use that tiller before you turn it loose in your garden. You could make a huge mess of things if you don’t know what you are doing.
You should keep hoes around. Lots of new gardeners are sure that they won’t ever need a hoe. If you are new to gardening, hoeing will seem like a mostly optional task. More often than not, though, hoeing is simply something that a gardener has to do. You will use your hoe to make rows in your garden. You will find that making rows for your garden is a lot easier when you are standing upright than when you are squatting down. Hoes are very useful for outlining planting rows and keeping them separated from each other. For this reason you will want to get a long handled hoe.
It sounds crazy but using a hoe can save you quite a lot of time as you are working to build your garden.
At least one big rake is needed. A garden rake is fantastic for small patches of land. On the other hand, some gardeners have quite large gardens to tend and a big rake helps with this. Rakes do more than move leaves around. When you are prepping for planting use your big rake to smooth down the soil as well as to turn it to increase the air that moves within it. Use the flat side of your rake to smooth out the top layer of dirt in your garden. The rake you use to gather leaves will be made from plastic. Garden rakes (even those that are full sized) are made from metal.
Nobody knows which gardening tools they really need when they are just starting out. As a new gardener you are going to want to buy everything the sales person offers you. Instead of dropping a few paychecks on gardening supplies you might not need start with a few basics and then add to your collection as you need to. Not only will this save you time and money it will also save you a lot of storage space as well! Sooner or later you will know exactly which gardening tool is needed for which job that you want to do. Last but not least, remember to read our Blendtec review.
I like those hard plastic composite hand gardening tools that you can find at Home Depot. They are inexpensive and work really well for small gardens.
I do my most of gardening work with hand weeder and then i use branch cutter as i have got bushes around my garden, but i find it really difficult to keep it sharp,as i don’t have sharpening machine.
Normally i use hand weeder and branch cutter .I just want to add few more gardening tools in this list, like axes, pein hammers, tool handles, lump hammers ,wedges etc etc.Though these tools have got limited utility in gardening but still play an important part.
